HoodleFinance Add-on Terms of Service

These Terms of Service apply to the HoodleFinance Google Sheets add-on and the underlying Google Apps Script project. By installing or using the add-on, you agree to these terms.

Permitted Use​

You may use HoodleFinance as a Google Sheets add-on for financial data retrieval, lookup, conversion, and related spreadsheet functionality, subject to:

  • These Terms of Service.
  • The terms that govern Google Workspace, Google Sheets, and Google Apps Script.
  • The terms, availability, and acceptable use policies of any upstream third-party data sources utilized by the project.

No Guarantee of Availability or Termination​

HoodleFinance depends heavily on third-party data sources and external platform behavior. Availability and output quality may change over time due to changes in those upstream sources or the underlying Google platform.

The add-on may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time. It may also become unavailable without notice due to changes in upstream sources or the underlying Google platform.

No Financial Advice​

HoodleFinance is strictly a technical data-retrieval tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any returned data before relying on it for trading, portfolio management, tax reporting, compliance, or any other critical decisions.

Disclaimer of Warranties​

The add-on and all resulting data are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

The project maintainers make no warranty that:

  • Every exchange, instrument, or identifier is supported.
  • Every returned value is complete, current, or accurate.
  • The service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.
  • The output matches GOOGLEFINANCE or any other specific financial data system.

Fair Use and Upstream Constraints​

HoodleFinance relies on third-party websites and public endpoints. Continued operation depends on the rate limits, restrictions, and continued permission of those upstream services. Use of this add-on does not grant you any rights to third-party content beyond what those providers explicitly allow. You agree not to use the add-on in a manner that abuses or intentionally overloads these upstream sources.

Limitation of Liability and Indemnification​

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the project maintainers or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to trading losses, lost profits, or data loss, arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on HoodleFinance.

By using this add-on, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the project maintainers from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the add-on or your violation of these terms.
